1967 brake rotor clocking

To install a brake rotor on a spindle where the rivets are drilled and long gone is it correct to align the adjustment holes for the parking brake and assume this is the correct clocking.

Still trying to find out when the change occured from first to second design calipers on early 67's..

There is only one clocking that allows access to the brake adjustment. That is the only correct position, however, nothing says that is the best for run out. It should be, but, if the rotors have been turned or the spindles been changed, all bets are off. They have to be machined together in position to achieve proper run out.

Agree with Wayne. However, if you removed the rotors from BOTH sides at the same time, you could mix them up and have (additional) run-out problems. The only way to be certain is to install them and then do a run-out check with a dial indicator.
