Some racing fuels have Ferroscine (Spelling) in them (Iron) to help stop detenation, according to Tim Wusz of Rocket racing fuels (formerly 76 racing fuels) I saw what appeared to be rust in the Rocket 118 racing fuel and asked him. It appeared as the pictures but I never thought to check it with a magnet. Dale

a lot of junk can come from the station tanks were you buy the fuel.

I also would add that maintance on the gas pumps filters are very lax these days since most stations are from self service/ convenece store variety. if you've ever run into a slow pumping gas pump theres a reason why, move it to the next pump. older filling stations sometimes will have older in ground tanks hence more debris in them and when pumping when low on fuel you can guess what you maybe putting into your tank.
