Re: Torque for front brake shield
I just did this last month for the rear disc shields on my '01 1/2 ton PU. I match marked the bolt and shield , then loosened the bolt. I then took my beam torque wrench and noted the amount when the marks lined up as I re torqued the bolt. Should be close enough as it is not a critical part. Hope it helps.-John- Top

Re: Torque for front brake shield
Steve, do you happen to recall where this information is located, or what search terms you used to find it? I have searched Joe's name and "Torque", then searched Joe's name with no subject, bringing up all 25,000+ posts, then isolated June 16, 2008 and read all of his posts on that day, and I haven't found anything about the torque rating for this bolt (GM 3864119) yet.- Top
