Dee and I really wanted to drive back this year and attend the NCRS National, but I was notified by Bill Locke in the spring that I was one of 10 Indutees into the BLOOMINGTON "GREAT HALL" this year, so we just got home from a 5425 mile drive back to and return from St. Charles, IL.
Next years National event in Michigan for sure. And we will see you in Albuquerque, NM Sept 30- Oct 1 at the TACO FESTIVAL.Over 80 Corvettes of fun ! Love Rochester Fuel Injection 57-65 cars. Love CORVETTE RACE CARS

Re: bee on the lookout for a black 57 Nomad
I-84 near Ladd Creek Summit can be very bad in the middle of the summer. It is routinely shut down during the winter due to the inability of Oregon DOT not being able to keep up with the snow. No putdown of Oregon DOT, just too much snow, too cold,Dick Whittington- Top

Re: bee on the lookout for a black 57 Nomad
i hung the moniker on him. back in the mid 80's when it wasn't fashionable to refer to another as a dip****, hence dipstick. most storys about him still not fashionable on such a venue. seriously, he did more to enhance ncrs judging than anyone. he's my hero. mike...for the sake of those of you who don't know who "dipstick" is........I believe the boys are talking about Dennis Clark, Past Judging Chairman.

Re: bee on the lookout for a black 57 Nomad
It all started when Dr Mike and Dennis were bragging about who had the fastest '57 fuelie. At the Anaheim National, early '90's they loaded up their cars and went to LA County Drag Strip. Dennis became the "Diabolical Dipstick" and Dr Mike became the "Maryland Mucous". Ask Dip about taking his '57 back home in a U-Haul truck...for the sake of those of you who don't know who "dipstick" is........I believe the boys are talking about Dennis Clark, Past Judging Chairman.

Seems there were some, shall we say, a large engine and some "giggle gas" used in that event and a couple after that
