My '61 1x4 carb was leaking gas at the inlet where the bronze filter is located. The fitting is a 1" hex. I cannot find the gasket (looks like paper) anywhere in Corvette Central or Paragon. I suppose I could try to make one. Anyone know of a vendor who has it?

The original gasket was GM #3764576, aka Carter #121-319.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: Leaking carb inlet - need gasket
Joe: Thanks for the numbers. I also thought of using some thread sealer on the fitting. It worked for an antifreeze leak I had on the intake manifold of my '57. The fuel leak on the '61 could have been a disaster. Fortunately I discovered it while in my driveway.- Top

Art, my two cent on the thread sealant, if a piece does make its way into the needle and seat - you will have a problem, like flooding, not good, the factory or replacement gasket is all you need.
