C5 lights fail to go up.

Last night I went to go home and the headlights failed to go up and turn on. After turning the switch on and off several times they finally went up and turned on.

Anyone run into this problem? Thanks Joe

Joe, thats one of those electrical problems that we mechanics do not like to see. (Erattic operation) If it were me like clem says try a relay. its certainly cheal enough, or you maybe able to swap the relay with another with the same part no. like maybe the wipers or something that doesn't get used much.

        Thanks,

So you think the relay may be in the pod with the others under the hood. I give it a try.

Joe, I looked up whats tied into the headlamp doors not opening, there is a circuit breaker #54 In the I/P fuse panel, and there is a H/lamp opening relay #44 in the I/P. there is also a control module, but try to get the headlamp doors not to work and wiggle the circuit breaker and tap the relay and see what happens first.

Let me know if you can see the headlamps, are they lite with the switch on?
