C2 center console with A31

Hello Everyone,

Where there two different center consoles for the C2's with A31 power window option - one for power windows and one without, or was there a knock out on the console for fitting the power window switch?

I can't speak for all C2's but in 63 there were different consoles. The power winonsole had an opening for the switches and the non power had nothing at the switch location.

I have found that all C2's had different consoles, determined by with or without Power Windows.

At St. Louis, there were 32 different part numbers of consoles (with and without power windows and/or manual vs. Powerglide, times interior colors), which were painted by the supplier. The A31 raw casting was unique at the supplier level due to the switch opening and the switch attaching bosses.

on the 64-67 consoles, if you turn the console over , you'll see a rectangular depression in the underside of the console. it can be removed and a PW switch mounted on a console out of a non-PW 64-7 vette. mike
