    69 rocker panel attachment

Does any one have a fix for replacing mangled molding stand off studs ( the studs that the screws attach to)? I have checked most of the usual vendors and cant find any replacements. Any help is appreciated.

If 68-69 use the same threaded screws as 73's at one time the vendors sold 5/16 bolts 1/2" long that were threaded in the center for the correct machine screw thread. They were installed by drilling out the stud to 5/16 and putting a nut on the back side. I made some with my drill press for my own use. When installed they are very had to see between the frame and the rocker panel but totally unlike factory studs. I retaped some studs also if they had metal to hold a screw.

Jerry, do your studs have the threaded stud coming out of the base? mine are so mangled that I don't even know what they are supposed to look like. Thanks Brad
