Dennis, Do they run parallel (up/down) with the with the flat spring? At what position is the horn contact brush? Would it be about the 1:00 o'clock position?

        John,

The horn contact brush would be positioned at about 1:00 o'clock. The two roll pins are parallel with the flat spring at about 8:00 & 10:00 o'clock.

Should there be a large washer under the nut holding the steering wheel on a 62? What should the nut be torqued to?

New TS switch installed and all wires in the connector. (All proper colors to colors). I cleaned all the old incoming wire terminals from the main harness before pushing into the connector. New wires from the switch plugged into the other side of the connector. Still no brake lights. Also the turn signal actuator doesn't want to hold in place. What did I do wrong or what needs adjustment?

                John,

Looking in the ST-12, yes there should be a washer. It is shown in view A on page 9-5. If I recall, it is an internal tooth lock washer.

Page 9-4 of the ST-12 indicates to torque the steering wheel to 35 - 40 ft. lbs.

                  John,

Do you have power to the stop light switch? When the brake pedal is depressed, do you have power on the other wire at the brake switch?

I think the orange wire should be power (to ground) and the white wire should have power (to ground) when the switch is activated by depressing the brake pedal.

As a test, you can install a jumper across the brake switch or connect the two wires together.

As for the turn signal, try posting a picture of the way it is installed.

                  Dennis
