C3 ignition shielding

Other then the main cover for the distributor, are the verticle and lower pieces the same for a 69 as they are for a 77?

The vertical sheilds should be the same, but the lower v-sheilds are different for 69 , did not have the safety engine mount,hence the mounting was different.

Jim, the 69 motor mount did not have a safety catch if the mount failed, in that era when the car was accelarated the engine would pick -up and the throttle would get stuck ,sometimes wide open depending on how hard you accelarated the car. in 70 GM switched to a safety catch on the mount in case it failed. GM did recall quite a few cars to install a safety cable to stop the engine from picking up of the mount when they failed.
