    Gen III Head Bolt Length

I believe all Jan 2004 blocks thru Gen IV used 11 mm head bolts. What length did pre Jan 2004 Gen III blocks use?

    Thanks!

They use 3 different bolts. There are ten M8X1.25X45 mm; sixteen M11X2.00X155 mm; and four M11X2.00X100 mm.

I'm not so sure that the 2004+ Corvette engines are actually Gen IV. It's my understanding that Gen IV engines have "cylinder deactivation" and I don't think that Corvette engines, even to this day, have that feature.

Addendum: apparently, the Corvette engines were changed from Gen III to Gen IV in 2004. When the Gen IV small block was first introduced, I believe that all versions had cylinder deactivation. At some later time, I guess that the Gen IV must have been made both with and without cylinder deactivation because I don't think that Corvette engines have that feature.
