I would appreciate it if someone could provide me the dimensions for the three segments of a 62 jack handle and what its overall length should be when extended.

I'm a little confused, a 62 jack handle has only two segments, unless you are talking about the slider being a third piece. I'll be out in the garage late this afternoon and if thats what you are talking about I will measure them for you

Re: 62 jack handle dimensions?
Just to clarify, there are only two pieces of rod but it is bent such that there are three dimensions of interest. The crank end has two bends that separate the handle, as extended, into three sections. I'd like to know what the length of each piece is.
Thanks for the photo, by the way. That defines another dimension. Looks like 24" when folded.- Top

Re: 62 jack handle dimensions?
53-60 drawing attached. 56-7 dimensions quoted from 5th Edition JM; 7/16" diameter, folded length 24", tang end 24" long, handle end 22 3/4" long, round rivet head ~7/16", flattened rivet end ~5/16", bends are 90 degree sweeps with wide radius. Don't know what changed in 61-2. Gary....Attached FilesNCRS Texas Chapter

Re: 62 jack handle dimensions?
61-62 had a depression in the trunk floor rather than setting it on top of the trunk mat. Business end was changed from a sppon to an "L". Specific dimensions I don't have because I'm here at work.

Re: 62 jack handle dimensions?
I don't believe they ever did use the same jack, just a similar handle. I had a 56 Chevy pickup with the similar handle but the jack was not the scissors type. It was what I would call a mechanical (rather than hydraulic) version of a bottle jack. The frame on a pickup is higher off the ground than the Corvette. So maybe a Corvette scissors jack would not go high enough to lift it.- Top

Re: 62 jack handle dimensions?
Here is a drawing from CEC of the 62 jack handle.

Question, how do I upload a drawing into a new thread? It would not let me because I had posted it previously.- Top
