Tie rod ends for a '62

    Hello
I need to replace some tie rod ends on my 62.
Corvette Central only has ends with the grease fitting on the
    bottom.
Does anyone sell tie rod ends with the fitting on the side?

    thanx

Have you tried Mary Jo or Grossmueller's?

I noticed Paragon lists these as 'Imported'
          Any concerns on quality?

NOS examples of these C1 tie rod ends show up on eBay pretty regularly. At least, they did when I used to spend some time looking for stuff on eBay. In fact, they often didn't draw a single bid.

They appear to be good quality. My mechanic said they were very good. But as everyone says, keep them greased.

                BJ-

A note of caution... some time ago I looked at the paragon C1 tie rod ends and noted that the zerk fitting for the LH & RH ends were on different sides. Originals that I've seen were all drilled on the same side regardless of them being LH or RH ends. If memory serves me correctly, with the threads pointed down and the tie rod ball end pointed toward you, the zerk fitting should be on the left side embossment on both LH & RH.

This may have been corrected now on the Paragon ends but you might want to check otherwise one side would be correct and the other incorrect. It is pretty easily noticed when viewing the car from the front.

I PRESUME everyone is aware that the tierod ends are also common to the 49-54 Chevy pass cars.

                    Tom------

Yes, but it's hard enough to find a 49-54 Chevrolet anymore, let alone one with tie rods in good enough shape to re-use.

True, BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT, if you ask for a part for a Chevy pass car, INSTEAD of for a Corvette, it may be 10 times cheaper!!!
