    Hi Jack,
The hand written number is the job number assigned at St. Louis. You'll find it written in various places on the under body.
    Regards,
    Alan
I think that the hand written pencil # on the Broadcast Sheet was put there and was used by the office personal. This # is not the same as the hand written # on the body. It seems to me that I read where the last 2 digits of the pencil # on the Broadcast Sheet is usually within a couple of numbers of the vin #. My vin # is 21683 and the pencil on my Broadcast Sheet is 185. The last two numbers are 2 apart.
    Vin # 21683
hand written # on tank sheet 183
hand written # on body 325
I am 100% sure that these numbers are original to my car.
Maybe Michael H can shed some light on this.

Here's another -- of a '68 convertible delivered to a Canadian dealer (note zone-dealer code). this was back in the early 70's, when a friend who owned a Corvette shop just reached up (car was on hoist), grabbed a corner and tore it off the tank, knowing I was interested in that stuff . It was his car (not a customer's).

So if someone has the other part, maybe we can talk .

There is other paper including the POP (that's real) as well as the dealer invoice, order form, inspection sheet, and a bulletproof owner history (3). The build or "tank" shhet is jus too nice for me.

        Thanks,

        Tim
If all the other stuff is authentic, you are good to go. Just use the suspicious tank sticker as a display document for car shows, that's how I use the repop owners manual and radio card on mine.

              Hi Bill,
You're right, the 89 on my sticker isn't the in plant job number, it's the first 2 digits of the VIN sequence.
I didn't notice that the photo I retrieved had the top of the sheet missing so you cant see the 186 job number in pencil that appears on the underbody too.
I have to be more careful!
              Regards,
              Alan

Just wondering if all you folks have entered those dealer numbers on the NCRS.org "Dealer Code" list. Thanks.

You can have a perfect copy of the tank sticker because their were many copies and some lucky owners have found them in the dash area. This may only be on C-3's as I don't know about other years.

Say, I was looking through the tank stickers here and elsewhere and I notice mine has a "PLS RUSH" on the bottom line below all the options list. I guess this means "please rush", but what kind of order would have had such treatment? Is this some dealer favor or executive order?

Thanks Terry, I guess I should have said that the POP will not tell you ALL of the options. Whether the hardtop was body color or black vinyl for 67 will not show on there, nor will the ECL codes tell you that. It might tell you if it HAD a hardtop, but not what covering what chosen.

Tires is another example (white walls vs. redlines for 67).
