Original Carpet in your 68/69/70/71/72 ? Please read.

For those with known original carpet in their 68-72 Corvette, we (those of us working on the JG revisions) have a question for you:

Do you, or do you not, have the "IMCO" logo on the driver's side heelpad where the gas pedal extension meets the main portion of the pad? (See attached picture).

If you do, or do not, please respond with the YEAR of your car, COLOR of the carpet, and whether you have standard (80/20) or deluxe (plush) interior.

There "may be" a few colors of certain age ranges that do not have the IMCO logo, and we want to see if we are noting anomalies or a pattern.

Please respond by posting to this thread.

    Thanks,
    Patrick

71 coupe (E-10 BUILT) 420 TRIM (Saddle leather) deluxe interior. No logo. I have every reason to believe this is the original carpet but have not completed owner history interviews to its beginning.

Don't be quick to judge from your memory. When the guys first came to me with this years ago, I told them there was no way my heel pad had that logo. Well I went and looked. It is hard to see and if there is much wear it will be harder to see. Before you tell us "NO" please go look.

                    Agreed.

That is why I included the picture with the arrow. You may have to use a magnifying glass to see the logo. Go and check, don't guess.

                      Jack,

Not to doubt you, but it would surprise me a bit.
Did you check just now or going by recall?

There are certain ones that we're trying to pattern, and blue has not yet shown up as a "no logo."

                      Thanks for the info.
