What type of sealant should be used? I'm not sure that mine are sealed as I didn't install them. Thanks!

If you go to a body shop supply store, ask for "Dum dum." Of course if the employee is still wet behind the ears he may not know what you are talking about.


3M(TM) Strip Calk 08578 Black, 60-1 ft Strips per box, 12 boxes per case
Soft non-hardening caulking material in one foot lengths for use in all types of seams, joints and openings. This product is easily thumbed into place and smoothed with a finger. It may be painted immediately.


3M strip caulk in a dark color will also work, and if you have had the weatherproofing off your doors you should have some left. The minimum quantity you will have to buy will last you and everyone else reading this a lifetime.
