    Tank Sticker Information

I have attached a copy of a tank sticker I have. I assume it is for a 1967 but the late prodcution date kind of blurs things. That being said it does have the 19467 code.

Is this for a specific serial # car as I couldn't locate that information.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    jerry

that ain't no tank sticker - that is the order copy dated in Sept 67, with production expected 10-20-67 - so, NO VIN as yet has been assigned

Early '68 tank sticker/order copy. Notice 10/67 build and F-70X15 tires. Has to be '68

Looks like it would have to be a '68. The last '67 was built in July '67. PT

          Re: Tank Sticker Information

I did take this off of a gastank on a car I did a while ago. In addition, I see the model # being 19467. Aren't these the prefix #'s to a 1967? I'm thinking 19467S123456??

If it for a 1968, would anyone have an interest in having this document?

            Rick,
It certainally looks like a build sheet from a 68 Convertible to me. Nice early production white/red 68 car with 4 speed, posi, base motor, redlines, vinyl H.T., AM/FM, Tint, tele and PO1's. The last 3 number's in the vin are most likely 273 or 773.
            That's my $0.02.

Also, I have a May 1967 car with the same type of document that I took off of the tank. Were the tank sticker and the order copy both on the tank at the same time?

              Doesn't make sense so far.

                  Joe,

Thanks. My question is the 19467 represent only a 1967?

'and PO1's. 'Sounds like a nice car.

                      I believe 67 VIN - 194677S100001 for vehicle 1.
The sixth digit (7) is for the model year 1967.

19467 is the model number for the corvette convertible and is not specific to any particular model year. The document is one of several carbon copies that were originally generated and could have been originally attached to the gas tank of a 1968 corvette convertible at the St Louis assembly plant. The dates and options on the document are consistent with 1968 model year production.

Can't read the zone number. Possibly 39. Dealer 223 could have been O'Reily in Tucson, AZ.

Thanks everyone. Is there a difference between the Customer Order Copy and the Tank Sticker? Or are one in the same?

Can't get a straight answer just yet.

                            Thanks for your help.

That`s sounds right Tom as Buck O`Reily always had the latest model Corvette on his showroom floor on new model introduction day. When it wasn`t on his showroom floor, he was driving that new Corvette.
