That's why I questioned the firewall connection, but the 60 ohm test on the sender wire confirms the wiring and guage are OK. I don't really care if the guage reads low in the mid range, I will check a few other senders to see if there is one that ohms closer at 180 temp. Mine read approx 130 ohms at 175* engine temp..
