    1970 Wiper Arms

Does anyone have any tips for cleaning out the metal tubes on 1970 wiper arms. My drivers side has a clog.

Soak them in citric acid. You probably have a calcium build up in the nozzles.

      Les,
About 5 to 10 psi of air using a tip with a small hole that fits inside the tube worked for me. As Dick mentioned you can soak them first to loosen things up.

Yet another way to clean the nozzles is a product called CLR(calcium, lime , rust) I know most hardware stores carry it. just soak over night.

I have had good luck with a tiny drill bit in a pin vice. Also have used an accetylene torch tip cleaning tool with good results.

Carburator cleaner with the tube in the hose end works for me. You can then see if all three holes are open by the vapor. If one of the side holes is pluged a needle will go through the open side and unplug the cloged hole as they are in line.
