    c-1 repo heater hoses

anuybody else had trouble fitting the repo heater hoses(fromCC) to their respective fittings? seems like the ID of these repo hoses is too small to fit the nipples and elboes. mike

I also bought heater hoses from CC for my '57. Had the same trouble, finally gave up and bought regular hoses from a local parts store.

        Mike,

I used heater hoses from Paragon this past summer without a problem and no leaks.

i used dishwashing detergent and took a rotary file to increase the ID of the repo hoses and still tight as hell. don't believe grease(petroleum derivatives) compatable with rubber hoses. soap works better as lubricant and won't interact negativly on the rubber. hey roy, instead of grease, use KY Jelly. jsut kiddin. I routinely have a local rubber stamp company make stamps for such occasions. mike

Mike, Pete Sawatsky 918-968-2366 (store #) had correct hoses made. Gary....

Agree with Dennis, used Paragon hoses with no problem and 10% discount to NCRS members.

in the past i have complained to cc about the wall thickness being too thin making the use of spring ring clamps imposable, sounds like they put the meat on the wrong side of the hose, the good news is our only choice of parts is no longer TMCS, Chevrolet or the local parts store, the bad news is half of the repo stuff we get won't work.
