My 67 is marina blue and I have been trying to decide if I want white walls when I install my rally wheels. These look pretty good to me.

I agree. One thing I can tell you about Ebay. There are more excellent condition cars listed at great prices. Than there were a year ago. I am reffering to 'buy it now" only.
Lot's more people needing to sell their restored to highly restored Vette quickly. Pics of them sitting in front of their new house, thats on the market too. It is a buyers market on classics.

I agree with you on the white walls. I would go with them.

            William,
I compared the trim tag to mine. My car has a build date 28 days (E29)later. I can tell you there are some inconsistencies in some of the letters. Specifically, the Y in BODY and the Rs. Maybe some other people will chime in also, but I don't like the vin tag either. Major give away is the V in Chevrolet. Compare it to known good tags and you will see what I mean.

I agree with John, in that there seems to be inconsistences in some of the fonts on the trim tag with known good tags. In summary, fake window sticker, suspect tag, not a great pad pic either so who knows about that too. With a 100k bid on that car what would a real one with no issues go for?

Anybody with a Dec trim tag will tell you that the date E27 is right next to the (E) in style. On all Dec trim tags, also know marking in the (D) in body

I agree. My E29, the E is nearly on top of/touching the E. I have a pic and will post when I get home tonight.

The convertable top is ill fitting because it is not clamped down to the deck lid. If the C2 convertable top frames are anything like the C1's, then the frame is bowed incorrectly. He does not want to ruin the paint on the deck lid by tightening the clamp down.

I have nothing to do with the car on ebay but I became curious after your comments concerning the trim tag. I have a December 67 and can guarantee you that my trim tag is the original one. Comparing my trim tag and the 67 on ebay, I can't see any difference in the placement of the date or anything suspicious about the "D".

I am posting photo's of both my trim tag, which is a pencil rub off and the photo of the suspicious trim tag for your comparison. Can you find a difference, I can't.

                      Just curious,
                      Warren

I don't see prices going down. Maybe I am in the wrong place at the wrong time. I can't find a buy!

Good cars with irrefutable provenance are still strong. Color can make a big difference. The questionable cars, rattle can restorations, high horsepower with no provenance are taking a pretty good hit.

My 67 BB is Goodwood Green with white stinger and black/white interior. I just installed white stripe Goodyear Integrity tires before winter storage (sorry I didn't take any pics before I put it away) and agree it is the BEST look for these cars. My car had redlines from the factory and I was running Coker redline radials, but just did not care for the look. The white stripes are FAR better.

I say no to whitewalls, either black or redline unless sticker calls for whitewalls...which belong on mamas cad etc. in my opinion of course
