Re: Damage from repetative starting car without driving??

I used stabilizer in my generator and lawn mower last winter ans had to have both carbs rebuilt due to being gummed up! Not a happy camper in the spring. I would'nt even consider putting it in my car gas tank. I threw the bottle(full) in the trash.

Put it up on blocks and run it through the gears if you just want something to do, brace your pedal at 60 and let it run, open your doors to clear out the funk. Brad.

Never had a problem with Stable in any gas tank. If it's used, the engine needs to be run to disperse the product.

Those little mover carburetors have a small hole in the up tube before the main jet that gums up from sitting. Does not take for gas to go bad in the little bowl.

One point that I haven't heard anyone mention, would be damage to the rear and undercarriage of the car, (bumpers, rear hardware, exhaust pipes, mufflers, etc.). Just recently at the Florida Regional I over heard one of the judges make a comment "this car must have spent a lot of time idling". In other words the rear of the car is aged more so then the front due to condensation from the exhaust. I simply change the fluids and zip them up in the Car Jacket and wait for spring.

          Regards,

          Kevin

I think I understand now why I was having difficulty pulling up a previous post after I posted it. Correct me if I am wrong as this has occurred several times. When I looked at the posting from the listing of subsequent names that posted I came to a title that stated something like 'other postings underneath' and I was able to pull the post up from there.

Happens to me also Val. Don't care for it all. Would rather see something like pg. 2. Bill.

                  Valerie,
You aren't the only one that has had a problem trying to follow the postings. At some point they are also going to have to bite the bullet and split up the C1s, C2s, C3s, etc. Two pages a day of threads gets too much to try to follow.

I have two Battery Tenders. I would not be without them. The investment is worth it.

Gerard, Do you mean logging out first and then logging back in?
