    Re: Vacuum Hoses

Terry, I agree with your assessment. The more I thought about it, the more I believe it originated from the interior out to the engine compartment. Now I just need to reverse some of the steps already taken during assembly to find the source.

Again, tx for all your thoughts.

      Joe,
When the weather gets warmer I'll take another shot at it. Perhaps disassembling the distributor shielding will give me the clearance to look into it farther. In the mean time perhaps there is someone with a 1969 or 1970 that is somewhat apart who can help with some indication of where that hose goes through the firewall (IP).

Terry on a previous post here I posted where my 70's vacuum hose in question goes from the source T fitting to the firewall on the other side of the ignition shielding to a rubber plug in the firewall.

Terry, I'll take another closer look at the firewall and the area Jim points out. Hopefully I'll get lucky. I won't get to the car for a day or so, but I'll keep you posted. Tx

I guess over the days I forgot your earlier post Jim. Thanks for the reminder. Perhaps Joe will find the appropriate grommet and I won't have to take my car apart.
