Thanks Kevin on what you saw on the '77 original car.

I remember the Firestone Recall first hand. I traded my set in for a set of BFG. I wanted as far away from Firestone as I could get as this belt separation was a frequent occurance on these tires and on a fiberglass Covette bodies usually did body damage when these belts separated.

Firestone pushed tire owners to the new 721 tire, but I don't think many opted for them. BFG was a very popular tire in the mid 70's. You also don't find many Firestone 721s around these days?

Firestone did even exchanges on these tires even including mounting and balancing to another tire brand and store. No cost to the owner. Firestone just wanted the tires off the street!

Bob McDorman's 1976 yellow Corvette was an L-82, 4-speed Corvette with white interior.
The window sticker on Bob's 1976 Corvette had the name of his dealership. "Dealership to whom delivered "

1976 Corvette's came with Goodyear or Firestones tires.
1976 trim tags were painted the body color.

my 77 i had which i bought in 77 had good years from the factory i still have some old photo's of her it was a mid production car. now my 77 L82 i have now came with firestone still has th orignal firestone tire on the spair it was a early production car.

My 1976 Corvette vin # was 1Z37L6S407190 it was an October 75 car. Had to wait for the YJ8 Aluminum wheels. It was one of the first batch of Corvettes to be released with the wheels.......finally. Waited almost three years for those.

I am in no way associated with this item, do not know if it is as advertised, just thought it was interesting for others here to view online.
