On Friday evening I was watching a DVR recording of the Thursday coverage of the Barrett-Jackson car auction/circus. About 2-1/2 hours into the night's coverage, there was a 1964 L76 Sting Ray for sale.
I noticed Roy Sinor standing next to the driver's side engine bay with another guy (who looks kinda like Charlie Cadenhead). Roy first felt the underside of the fender, just outside of the hood opening. He then walked around the car and quickly took a digital photo of what looked to be the car's engine stamp pad.
Roy, can you shed some light on this or does anyone else know why Roy took this picture? I didn't see him bidding on the car and wondered what got his attention.
