    C2 French Locks

I am restoring a C2 big block with French Locks on the exhaust manifolds and rear half shafts. When I tighten the bolts, the French Locks want to twist or bend with the rotation of the bolt tightening. I am using the spacer washers between the manifolds and French locks. Any trick to keep this from happening? Thanks

first straighten any bent french locks. then put some never-sieze or anti-sieze on both sides of the French lock where the bolt goes through it.

I think you put to much tork on the bolds, they just need 20 lbf.ft
Just dit mine on my '65 SB with no problems.
