Re: C6 starting issues
I rarely if ever keep them in my pants pocket. My truck keys have their own fob and some other attachments, and there is no reason to carry them around in the office. So, they go into my black bag as I walk into my office and I take them out when I go out to the truck.
I follow the same procedure with the Corvette, but since I don't need to use a key to get in the car, I don't keep them in my hand as I walk out to the car. So, twice the fob has stayed in the bag as I place it in the hatch and shut it in nice and tight. If I actually needed the fob to get into the car (i.e. had to press a button, even) then it wouldn't happen.
