67 Coupe headliner repair help

I have a 67 coupe with it's original headliner. When I got the car almost a year ago it's headliner was sagging. The prior owner I am sure wiped it with some armor all or similar product to shine it up. I have heard that putting armor all or similar products will cause the headliner to fall soon after it's application. Is there a way to repair the original headliner? I REALLY would like to NOT replace it as the interior is unbelievably original and I want to keep it that way.
I have redone headliners in other chevy cars, with 3M general trim adhesive and the "extra" strength 3m general trim adhesive. However, I don't know if it will work and would like any help/suggestions/ideas from any of you out there. As always, any help is super appreciated. THanks ARA

My car is also very original and did not want to change its sagging headliner but I had no luck trying to repairing to repair it. Ended up buying a repo.

the vinyl was originaly attached to the headliner assembly's FOAM . hence , ya won't have any luck re-glueing vinyl to foam. al knock is the answer. regards,mike
