
Here's 4 pounds of pure zinc being used in an older Caswell 3 gallon setup:
Just got tired of playing around with those thin plates. These blocks are used for cathodic protection for ships hulls, so I got a few and drilled holes in them for stainless steel all-thread. They hang nicely on the side of the tank.
Then with a tablespoon per gallon of Zinc Brightener, things just come out real bright zinc:
And the yellow dichromate takes just nice in 20 seconds:
Here's a few carburetor parts I was doing in the meantime, while I was working on the carb:
The copper wire on the right is how the parts come out of the plating tank.
