OK I'll will jump in on this one.................What is a Targa roofed vehicle, a coupe or a convertible?

I remember a Porsche 911 that had the "Targa" script trim on the rear lid, due to the removable roof panel(s). So, my answer would be a "Targa". I don't know anyone that calls their targa roofed Corvette a Targa, yuck. Sounds so.....Porsche!

By the way, after that Porsche driver shunted the GT2 Corvette off the track and into the wall at Laguna Seca last Saturday to take 1st place, I am waiting to see what the Corvette crew will do! -Clark

I'm sure this was in a recent thread only a few days or a week ago !!
What I got out of it was a real roadster was a 2 seat car without roll up windows anything with roll up windows and a removable soft or hard top is called a convertible. So 53 -55 Roadster, 56 onwards is a Convertible ? Someone else might want to join in and correct me. But that's how I read it ! So I will go and enjoy my convertible not a roadster. Stewy

That's correct only 53 to 55 is a true Corvette Roadster, all others are just a Corvette.
