Re: rodster definition please
I'm sure this was in a recent thread only a few days or a week ago !!
What I got out of it was a real roadster was a 2 seat car without roll up windows anything with roll up windows and a removable soft or hard top is called a convertible. So 53 -55 Roadster, 56 onwards is a Convertible ? Someone else might want to join in and correct me. But that's how I read it ! So I will go and enjoy my convertible not a roadster. Stewy- Top

Re: rodster definition please
to add confusion: if you went in to buy a 31 Chevy Cabriolet, it came with roll up door windows. if you wanted to save a few bucks, you'd order the 31 Chevy Roadster, which had side curtains.so going by this 1931 GM nomenclature, all the 56 up vette non-coupes would be cabriolets.mike- Top

Re: rodster definition please
If the chicken coupe had no roof it would be called a convertible chicken coupe and if it had no roll up windows it would be called a roadster chicken coupe and if it smashed it would be called Chicken soup !!! Stewy- Top

Re: rodster definition please
Well a Targa as in the ugly 911 and newer Corvettes is a Targa. The rear window is fixed so therefore it can't be called a Convertible. Stewy- Top
