<I don't believe that the six tailights on C2s back then was just a California fad. It probably happened everywhere. Adding extra taillights to Sting Rays back then is similar to the young people of today adding huge rear spoilers, overwhelming audio/video systems, etc. to their small econo-cars. Different fads for different generations. >

I just remembered that the Corvette Stingray Racer, at least the show version, had 6 lights. The center, of each set of three, was a backup light.

Yes 10,000 miles away and the gooses over here have them as well. 6 tailights on a C2 ? I always scratch my head when I see one. I suppose Hurst shifters were factory as well Stewy

When I bought mine in the 80's, it had both "options".
