My choke pulls out very hard, What is the tension on these and how to loosen it up, thanks, Brad.

Have you tried WD40 on the cable housing

Hi Roy, do you mean take cables off and Squirt down entire inside of each one? Don't want to take them apart in fear of having to adjust carbs again if I don't have to. Thanks Brad.

Yes try squirting the housing as you pull and push in the choke, and add some down the handle cable area good luck

            Brad,
I spray the cables with silicone spray and then I pull the choke out and put gear cutting oil on the rod and then push and pull out several times. Works great and will ease the tension. Also check the cables for proper installation. Thanks........Steven J..........

Try some cable ease. It works well and can be purchased from corvette central.

Steve, are you saying you can spray right on the sheathing of the cables and it will go through them and lube the cables inside or disconnect everything and spray down each sheath to lube? Brad

                  Brad,
Yes, just put a rag behind cable and spray short sections of it moving the rag for each section, siliccone will find its way. Then just put oil on choke rod and work it in to the assembly. Has worked fine for me .

Hi Steve, sorry comp. was in need of repair, I siliconed the cable housing then just put oil on the rod, it was twice as easy then but now I niticed it is getting stiffer or harder to pull out again, seems the rod maybe is tight in the housing as it pulls out so I must see how to loosen up ? Anybody? Thanks, Brad.
