    I did.
Response doesn't say you own a scanner - just that you weren't sure you wanted to unstaple them.

    I'd just scan them as-is.

Ok, I understand now. I thought you already had scans of the pic's.

        Art,
As I understand things there was no 53 owners manual. There was a postcard sent to 53 buyers and Chevrolet sent them a 54 manual. There is no 55 Corvette owners manual either. They used the 54 manuals. There is more detail to all of this that others will have to add.

Dave, very interesting. I'm certainly not a owners manual expert, but I have one that I got out of a GM file marked 1953 and have always thought that it was a 53. It is orange and not dated.
In the same file was a tri fold (brownish (rust) color) which I think you or someone else here has mentioned.

              Art,
From what the guys are saying I guess that is the reason I only have manuals from 56 on. I still learn something new every day. Thank you for sharing info.

1954 Pontiac Strato-Streak (four door pillarless hardtop) was covered in June, 2009 issue of Hemmings Classic Car. Page 58 - 61.

Later this year, the same magazine covered a van like show car called the __________, which (I think) is still in hiding somewhere here in MI. I will post the name of the thing when I find the mag. back.

The van I mentioned above is the GMC L'Universelle, from 1955. See Hemmings Classic Car magazine, October, 2009, pages 52 - 55. An ex-GM friend says it sat outside on GM property for awhile.

                    Chuck,
The Rivs from '63 and '64 had the parking lights in the fenders with the Headlights in the grille front area. In '65 they moved the headlights to the fender area, and yes they opened "clamshell" like.

Nope that's not it Gary, in fact I have NEVER owned a repro of anything, not even an AIM. Every single one of my document are original GM issue.

                        Hello;

Anyone on the TDB know of Joe Bortz?

Owner of some of these cars.

                        Thanks.

I may be able to help. A friend worked for Bortz, or at least worked on many/all of his cars. It's been several years since I talked to him but I'll see if I can make contact.
