    1969 Ignition shield ground tab

On the distributor box there is a ground tab that makes contact with the air cleaner base or is it supposed to contact the lid? I am installing this as a new replacement so I have no old one as a reference. The box has multiple holes to mount the tab. In looking this up in the archives and in the aim but it seems that the tab can be mounted top set or lower set facing up or down depending in the engine and air cleaner configuration. The problem is I cant seem to find how to determine which is which. My car is a 350 L46 and all stock can anyone tell me the proper hole location and direction to install the ground tab. Also while I'm at it how the hell are you suppose to install those rivets? Thanks in advance
    Regards

The grounding tab is mounted using the top 2 holes and extending downward for all but the 3X2 air cleaners that mount in the bottom 2 holes and extends upward.

You should be able to use a vise or body dolly to use as a bucking bar and tap the rivets down with a hammer.
