    Great job!!

You should have it judged to see where it stands. from the looks of how nice the car presents itself, you should do well. Awesome job!

I hope my 68 looks as nice when complete.

Nice work ! As always. I love your attention to detail. Next time I get through your neck of the woods on the way to TN, I'll pop in and check it out !! The last time I was in your garage, I bought your car !!

Thanks for all the kind words.

I do think it could 2nd flight with a lot of work.

There is a lot I have to do to it to get it there. Mainly in the operations catagory.

The radio is just bolted in and missing the Amplifier and speakers, and likely dosen't work itself. $700+

        Needs correct Alternator $700+

        Missing correct Horns $300?

        Clock needs repaired.... Time

        Reverse lockout inoperable. Time...

Center Dash and console needs restoration and detailing to concourse level as it's a fair 57,000 mile original $500 + time.

So maybe another $3K and a whole lot of detail work over the Winter.

I opted to paint some of the natural components in the Chassis just because it's more of a Driver so that will likely cost me enough points to keep me at 2nd flight at best, plus quite a few reproduction parts.

That and I'm sure when I start the car, the judges will wonder why the "Big Block" Rumble is coming out of the "small Block" exhaust pipes and dock me a few points for the obvious sound of the Long Stroke internals.

I would be very proud of a second flight though, and will have to put that on the 2010 list of things to do.

The car will have to be pretty squared away to overcome it's shortcomings going into it.

Hi John, Very nice job. congrats. I'm probably a couple weeks away from finally having my tuxedo black 69 coupe back together, working on the carpet at the moment and struggling with that a little, but was happy to see those side pictures showing the louver trim. I've been debating whether to re-install those or not. The car looks pretty good without them, or atleast I thought, but seeing yours, I like the trim as well. However I do need to do something about the silver paint inside the louver trim pieces, mine are very worn. So, thanks for the pic's. jim

I realize that taste is a very subjective thing, but for me, those Chrome Gills on a Black car makes it.

That's one of the things I like about a 69, the side gills are true to form to what I believe the designers had in mind for the original concept of the the "Stingray".

You don't get much more "Shark" than that. So the more emphasis the better.
