The 69 is finished and on the road. (photos)

Thought I'd toss up some photos. The 69 is finally finished (or roadworthy rather)

Not flight caliber, but a well detailed driver/local show car.

Stock Engine bay with matching numbers throughout but internal modifications to a 383 Stroker and ported/polished heads.

    Dyno'ed at 400HP / 460 Ft. Lbs.

A fun little small block and a black Coupe with Redlines and sidepipes is just about my favorite.

Now after all of the sweat and grime and fleecing of my bank account, it's time to have some fun and enjoy it.

Thanks for showing me the light at the end of the tunnel. Before I began restoring my 69, I made a comment to Dave Walters about going "down that slippery slope." He corrected me by saying "why does it have to be down, why can't it be up?" I've since changed my attitude, but it still doesn't help the pocketbook.

      Congratulations on some beautiful work.

        John,
The car looks just great, which I had the ability to do alot of that type work- If you ever see me with a screwdriver in my hand it's only because i am trying to sell it. Now hurry out and enjoy as much as you can before Mr. Frosty shows up.

          John,

Very nice work! I have a '69 convertible 350/350 4-speed; working on cleaning her up and replacing some minor wear items and missing/broken ones. It's good to be able to check you photo album out for reference picks; I'm trying to get the engine bay to look as original as possible.

          Take Care!

I've seen far worse on the judging field.

Well, maybe after a lot of little fixes and a couple of test runs, anythings possible.

"Not Flight Caliber"? If that's the case, I better spare myself the humiliation with my '72 and throw-in the towel right now!

Very, very nice. I always love to see one more put back to it's original state. Your efforts were well spent. Beautiful Corvette !

Awesome car and I disagree with you: I think it is very worthy of flight judging.
Nice work and a beautiful car.

                            Hi John,
Your car look terrific!!! I'm sure you're going to have lots of good times with it.
You really should have it judged, if for no other reason than the pleasure it will be for the judges.
Thanks for taking time to post the pictures.
                            Regards,
                            Alan

Nice car, John. Good job. I'm with the others about getting it judged. When I finish mine it won't be top flight, but I think I'll have it judged just to see where I'm at. But then again, maybe not.
