A few weeks ago I took my '72 350 miles to Carlisle. On the way there I had some problems. As part of my frustration I tore 3 boots on my dated and shielded repro wires. While I was there I figured that I would stop by the LL booth to see if they would be willing to sell me new boots or let me send them to them for repair.
Believe me, I was not looking for a handout. I was humbly looking for a way to have my wires repaired. When I told my story I was referred to, what I assume, was the Boss (or the boss of the day). He was gracious, gave me his card and told me to send them to his attention. I sent them with a letter asking for billing info so we could move forward if possible (it was clear this was not a service they regularly offer).
It has been 2 weeks and I was getting ready to call and see what, if anything, was happening with my wires. Today they showed up. They were repaired and to my SHOCK there was nothing in the box other than my letter and the repaired wires, no explanation.
I will be contacting them soon hoping to pay my fair share, at least the shipping, Hoping not to sound corny, they must be real Corvette guys!
