    Thumbs up to Lectric Limited!

A few weeks ago I took my '72 350 miles to Carlisle. On the way there I had some problems. As part of my frustration I tore 3 boots on my dated and shielded repro wires. While I was there I figured that I would stop by the LL booth to see if they would be willing to sell me new boots or let me send them to them for repair.

Believe me, I was not looking for a handout. I was humbly looking for a way to have my wires repaired. When I told my story I was referred to, what I assume, was the Boss (or the boss of the day). He was gracious, gave me his card and told me to send them to his attention. I sent them with a letter asking for billing info so we could move forward if possible (it was clear this was not a service they regularly offer).

It has been 2 weeks and I was getting ready to call and see what, if anything, was happening with my wires. Today they showed up. They were repaired and to my SHOCK there was nothing in the box other than my letter and the repaired wires, no explanation.

I will be contacting them soon hoping to pay my fair share, at least the shipping, Hoping not to sound corny, they must be real Corvette guys!

One of the few repro's I have to use is the spark plug wiring for my 55.
When they first started to repro the 55 plug wires the boots got hard fast and the shielding was to close to the boots and shorting out , when I told them . they redesigned the shielding and rubber boots and gave me a new set FREE. Now they have a long time buyer

I ordered a bulb set from them. When I received it I noticed that a few of the bulbs were clear when they should have been amber. I am the original owner , so I know mine were correct. When I called them , they apologized and sent the correct bulbs the next day. No charge , no shipping. Great customer service.

I wish I had that kind of "luck" with them. Had a bad coil to distributor wire. It was arcing to the shield. It was so bad it was going through the mylar insulator and some HV tape that I put over it so I could at least get my new restoration checked out. Had a bad split in the boot. Called them..ya it was a couple of months out of warranty, but only had about 10 hours of run time on it. "Sorry, send it back with $20 bucks and we'll replace it"

I bought a set of plug wires ( braided) from them about a year ago and damaged two boots when changing plugs. I am not inept, but a 454 with A/C is a bear to reach the plugs. Anyway I called wanting to buy and pay for the two new boots. I was told that I would have to buy a new $120 set of wires. I explained that was ridiculous but they refused to assist. That is my last time dealing with them. Poor customer service. I guess for every good action ,there is an equal and opposite bad action..Jim

James, To be honest I expected the respose you got. Their website clearly states that they don't repair or sell repair parts for those wires, thats their policy but we don't have to agree with it.

To a great degree, making the trip to carlisle and speaking with reps from LL face to face made the diffrence. I would have been, and still are prepared to pay for repair services or even three new wires. My biggest suprise was that they actually did the repair. While speaking to them their faces clearly said they would rather not...perhaps I should have kept quiet!
