My tag is stamped 1136 as is the steel stamp on the rear of the plenum. Both are pictured in Kens book on pg 474.

The first units used on production Corvettes were steel stamped with no RPD tag..starting with #1 being #101...

When they started using the RPD tag they started with #1001..so if yours reads 1136 it would be the 136th unit after they started using the tag.

Mine is stamped 132 in the location where the tag was later used...it also has a differnt number stamped on the front of the plenum which is the sequence number of the plenums produced but has nothing to do with the assembly.

In the beginning they mixed and matched plenums, air meters and fuel meters to build the best possible working units. Then the fuel meter number was used at the control number for the assembly and it was stamped on the side of the plenum. It is also stamped on the side of the fuel meter and also on the flange of the air meter..plus the foil tag.
