AGAIN, I'm curious about the 1957 RPO579D NOT being listed

I've read almost every page of the new 56-57 TIM-JG, and one of the things I noticed is that Ken Kayser is one of the contributors to the latest version.
Now, since Ken has published one of the FINEST books ever, on the early history and development on Rochester Fuel Injection, and how it got here from there, he has provided virtually conclusive documentation that the 1957 Airbox 283hp/283 option, commonly known for MANY years to all as RPO579E is WRONG! And that it SHOULD have been RPO579D!
Since the fanitical NCRS organization has always been such sticklers for accuracy and perfection, I ask again to the powers to be, "Is RPO579E going to be changed to RPO579D"?

Tom, appreciate your post. First let me explain that the "basic rule" for the 56-7 JM Revision Team was proof. No proof, no inclusion. If you have the 5th Edition 56-7 JM, please refer to page 157 for 1957 available options. The last engine option listed is RPO 579E. Attached is a copy of that page for reference. Have known and communicated with Ken Kayser for more than 20 years. Ken and I discussed this at Corvette Carlisle two weeks ago. Ken said he will send documents supporting 579D vs 579E. After the 579D documents are received, reviewed and accepted by the 56-7 JM Revision Team RPO 579D will be included in the 5th Edition 56-7 JM update scheduled for mid year 2010. Gary....

Here's a quick look at Ken Kayser's excellent book. As many other have mentioned before, I would HIGHLY recommend picking up a copy to add to your Corvette library. The rumors about Ken's first edition being sold out, are false. There are a very few copies left.
I finally got an opportunity to meet Ken Kayser at this year's Carlisle. He and I compared family tree notes and concluded that very likely our great Grandfathers were in fact brothers. Both Ken and I are fourth generation Americans, with great Grandfathers from Germany.
Ken divulged that he is considering writing another book, which I think could easily be as excellent a reference source,... as this book pictured. With Ken's background as working at the GM big block manufacturing facility many decades ago, he is considering writing a book on Chevrolet's greatest engine, the big block.
          Ridge.

The hardbound versions are numbered 1-100. Since I have a 56 Vette that I've had (and will keep) since 73, I bought #56!
I also have a softbound version for writing notes in it and highlighting areas of particular interest.
