Event area should be fine, but might be a touch muddy in the grassy areas. Still a light rain here at the hotel.

That accident on 81 routed traffic thru town right when the rain was poring down; rush hour traffic. It was a nighmare getting anywhere!

I opted not to go this year but I am missing it bad, I have always enjoyed looking for my treasures. In the last few years I also enjoy taking time to look at the other cars of interest and some of the displays and always talking to people.. Somebody find me a 1963 gas cap!!

Don't miss humidity and rain but if I was there it wouldn't matter to me, I don't have to explain that to anyone here.

Yeah it wasn't that bad really IMO...it made for a ncie cool overcast day. The rain held out all day for us actually but the bottom fell out about 6:00 when I was in traffic trying to get back to the hotel!

I enjoyed the gray skies on Thursday and VERY gray skies and cool temps. on Friday. The sun and 96 degrees are getting hard for me to take.
Carlisle is still big fun, even for the $14 per daily admission. I believe a 'BIG Smokey' is now $6 or $6.50. It wouldn't be the end of Summer without a few days at Carlisle.
                  Regards,

Wish I could have made it this year. I inadvertedly scheduled a four hour auction today. Oh well, there's always 2010.

So THAT'S what the problem was! I left Carlisle at 3:30 PM yesterday, just ahead of the rain. Right outside the gate was dead slow traffic. Then when I got to Hanover street there was nothing but a gridlock of Tractor Trailers, moving at snails pace. There were cops at all the intersections directing traffic but all the lights were green. I couldn't figure out WTF the problem was. As soon as I passed the route 81 exit, then all the traffic disappeared. Every year, it's something different! PT

I'm missing Corvette Carlisle for the first time..............ever.

With the move to Florida, the new house, getting settled, etc., it just wasn't in the cards for me to go this year. Next year? I'm sure I'll make it.

Seems like it's usually either brutally hot or extremely rainy at CC. I really don't need any parts, but I do miss seeing a lot of my old "buds", ones I see only once-twice per year at Corvette events.

Haven't taken any with all the "extra stuff" added yet, Steve, but here are a few pix BEFORE it got loaded up with things like cars and other equipment. It's coming along. Bought a new air compressor. It was delivered several days ago.

Got it wired and plumbed up, and it's up and running. I'm getting the garage "arranged", but I hate to say it, but.....................

It's NOT big enough. It's 36 x 28, but with all of my lawn and garden equipment like riding mowers, weed whackers, chain saws, leaf blowers, trimmers, shovels, rakes, etc............................I need to buy a shed.

I miss my 1200 sq. ft. basement at the old house. When the garage get's more "finished", I'll post some pix.

Chuck, the garage is really NICE! 'great place to work and park Corvettes. They are never large enough, no matter how big they are.

                              Congratulations on a great garage!
