    Vacuum advanced correct sorce

Hi all this is my first post, I have a 69 L36 , (my first vett), I'm trying to find out the correct vacuum source for my vacuum advanced, on the front of the Q jet or the side?? Also, how do I find the exact production date? I believe it is Oct 68 build, C00 on trim code, 704242 VIN

    Thank You
    Jim

    Jim:
The vacuum source for the vacuum advance is on the front of the carb. The side port is for the AIR pump (actually the diverter valve). I also have an Oct '68 car 5854.

      Jim,
Please take another, closer, look at the letter and numbers on your trim tag following the word CHEVROLET. It helps to have a good flashlight to shine in there. I believe you will find either C08 or C10. I would appreciate knowing which you find -- and welcome to the Tech Board.

          Hi Jeff

Thanks for the info, my car doesnt have the air pump on it. I will need to change to the correct port.

Tell me a little about your 69. Have you had your car judged?

          TY
