As for Philly cheesesteaks, the best is Tony Luke's at 2nd and Oregon. Best rolls and they don't use any of that cheese wiz stuff.

    Thanks.

Ok, it looks like we'll be trying 3 Cheesesteaks now. We were really wondering about the cheez whiz thing............. we gave up on that stuff back sometimes in the 70's I think, BUT maybe they do something that makes it taste different in Philly. You know kind of like Spam, there are some places that STILL believe in that being the "meat" of choice.

We'll be in spots K40-41. Come over and say hello! It was good seeing you at Bloomington. I think you will find Carlisle overwhelming and exhausting but great fun. See you there.

If you get the chance while in Dayton stop by the AF museum. It is well worth the time.

I agree with Dick, been going since 1990, a must every year trip for me! Also do try a Big Smokie, I love 'em, have several over the four days I'm there.

That's the best way to look for "stuff" Stephen. Just jump in with both feet, you KNOW that part you're looking for is on the bottom!! Good luck searching, you'll probably see my rear end sticking out of one of those midyear boxes..

Come on Brandon, you're talking too sensible. What's not to trust with taking a fresh 41 year old Vette on a 200 or 300 mile test run!! Gotta have faith in your mechanic skills. Just make sure the coolers full of your favorite beverage. Of course I say this as we're getting the 03 ready for the trip and NOT the 67. Have a good time!! Shooter

In 06 I drove my 95 convertible to it, had a blast! I think it was around a 10hr trip for me.

sold that car in 07 with 42k miles on it..was a cream puff I woulda kept it if it had been a MN6.

here she is...it's kinda funny maroon is really my color but I ran up on this with 32k miles and was amazed at the cond so bought it and my dad isn't crazy about the maroon on his 68 but we ended up with maroon cars.

                              Hi Shooter,
Since bathrooms are a topic of interest, I'll note that that there are "REAL" bathrooms in the lower level of the grandstand and in the largest of the several other buildings. I believe it's building' T', its where the Chip's Choice display is. BEATS PORT-A-POTTIES.
It CAN be devilishly HOT! Especially for 'older folk'.
                              Regards,
                              Alan

My wife and I will be there all weekend in car corall CB-131. My usual spot. I always bring a car from the dealership to sell. Look me up if you are walking through the cars for sale. I'll have a little white canopy and there will be a BUDS logo hanging somewhere. Not sure what I'm bringing yet.

Looking forward to scrounging through the swap meet !!
