    Battery disconnect switch ?

Where can I purchase the side terminal battery disconnect switch that I see on most of the NCRS Top Flight cars?

In the Operations Section of Flight Judging, three items will get you 3 bonus points apiece, with all three garnering 10 bonus points. They are: (1) a NCRS decal affixed to the window (do NOT cover the date code) (2) a fire extinquisher (3) battery disconnect switch.

    Here is a link to Eckler's: http://www.ecklers.com/product.asp?p...1&dept_id=1107
There are other companies that sell this item, also. -Clark

Peter, I ordered that very same cutoff switch from a J.C. Whitney catalog, If I remember correctly it went for about $25.00.

Amazon has this switch for under $25.

I use this blade type shut off on all of my cars except the C6. I like the ease of disconnect and I have had no failures like with the familiar green knob. There is even a discount for NCRS members for buying from the Driveline ad.

Lyle - I have been told by other members that there is an ad for these blade type disconnects in the Driveline, but I just can find it. Can you point me in the right direction?

Try page 92 of the current issue. If you don't have a paper copy it is on-line above. No excuses now.

Has anyone heard or have first hand knowledge that these blade type disconnect switches are unsafe? Please advise.

I found the switch much too big for my 84. I installed it anyway but it was smack up against the inner fender. Very hard to use also. But still better than the green knob.
