I've Take Bunches Of 4 Speeds Out Of Midyears ,but I Have A Friend Who Needs To Take A Glide Out Of A '64. Will It Drop Out After You Unbolt The Convertor? (since Mid Years Don't Have A Removable Trans. Crossmember) I Didn't Know If The Tranny Will Come Out Without Jacking The Motor Up. How Bout Some Pointers. Thanks !

Re: 1964 Powerglide Removal
It is VERY close but it will come out. I use a good transmission jack and tip the tail shaft housing up as I lower it. It is close but it will come out.I've Take Bunches Of 4 Speeds Out Of Midyears ,but I Have A Friend Who Needs To Take A Glide Out Of A '64. Will It Drop Out After You Unbolt The Convertor? May I just add, control the torque converter. It's heavy. If it falls on you, it really hurts. Don't ask me how I know.

Re: 1964 Powerglide Removal
Hi John,
I guess this is easier then going to the shop and getting some work done. I guess I am getting old, or something. I have to give you a call some day as I need a few parts. I hope everything is well with you,

Take care, Chris- Top
