Dan's in Adamsville, Tn. 9731-632-0103) is super for flash Chrome palting and polishing mouldings etc. Not sure about valve covers....

thanks for all the contacts and I will pursue contacting them and getting one of them to do all my work.

but right now I just got the car running about 30 min ago..so I'm working on other things right now! going to post a video of it running.

The "factory" GM chrome process on steel was nickel, then chrome (chrome is a clear protective coat, nickel gives it the bright color). GM didn't use the copper plate first that's typical of "show" chrome (copper, nickel, then chrome).

The initial copper plating on a "show" chrome job is typically polished to provide a smooth surface before the part is sent through the nickel and chrome tanks.
