    C2 Front Coil Springs

Need to replace the non-original front coil springs on my 1965 Coupe with air conditioning. It is a top-flight car so I would like to use the most original/correct replacement spring. Have read all the similiar posts but would like your previous choices and valued opinions. Here is my research so far:

Long Island Corvette $150 pair advertised as "correct repro to orginal
    specs, made in the USA"
    Paragon $100 pair "replacement style"
    Zip Products $100 pair "16 1/2" tall"
    Eckler's $75 pair "stock replacement"

As always, thank you very much for your assistance.

    Frank,

I used the ones from LI and have had no issues. I have them on my 66, 427, coupe. Perfect ride height and great drivability.

I'm taking mine out of my 63 roadster. How do I test how good they are? Can I "test" them for strength, height, etc? I hate to go buy a pair if mine are good. The car rides fine now, but I'm taking the body off this winter.

      Thanks

If the car sits right and rides right, the springs are perfect.

Is there a source for the correct "spring rate" for my springs? I guess I can have them tested at the local machine or engine builder shop.

Spring rate isn't defined, but the Specifications table at the rear of Noland Adams' Vol 2 book gives you a LOT of specs to work with regarding the various front coil springs used on the various mid-year Corvette models (# of active coils, # of total coils, diameter, pitch, free height, working height, Etc.).
