What is the best paint to use on 1961 interior components (dash cluster kick panels, etc) to achieve the correct sheen and pass judging?

I used SEM products when I restored the interior of my 74'. The attached article my be of interest. You can purhase SEM from a local interior shop or Eastwood. http://www.corvettefaq.com/c3/VinylDying.htm

If you have any plastic pieces that need repair this works very well. Once you get the technique down , the result is very good. I repaired a rear dogleg that was broken in half. After dyeing the part it was very hard to see where the repair had been done.

I found a site for two types of lacquer. One is Restoration Shop Acrylic Lacquer, the other is PPG Duracryl DDL acrylic lacquer. The PPG is more than double the price. Any experience with these?- Top

Most all lacquers in the rattle-can are good, I look for color match and a bottle of touch-up to match. Paintscratch is one source and will customer mix if required.
The Side-Kick panels should match the heater cover, package tray, end-caps, center console,etc.- Top
