Re: Anyone know what time the last group on the tour arrived in NM?
Here is what Werner said (to John Neas and myself), if I can remember as exactly as possible.
He had the car parked back in a remote corner of the inside parking garage, away from everything.
He THOUGHT he had locked and secured the car, but it was late, he was tired, and MAYBE he just inadvertantly failed to put it in gear/pull the parking brake.
It MAY have been tampered with by someone (kids, etc), but he didn't really think so.
Anyway, in the middle of the night he got a call that his Vette had been involved in an accident!
HUH?????????????????????
So, he went to investigate. Upon arrival, his car had rolled down an incline and crashed into an Impala (I THINK he said Impala). The door to the Vette was UNLOCKED (again, maybe he inadvertanly left it unlocked). I did not go look at the car, so I don't know the extent of the frontend damage, but apparently it was substantial.
He called his son to bring a trailer (which he expected to arrive Mon or Tue) and then was going to return home with the broke Vette.
That's the story as told to us by Werner.
